The Campus Kitchen at 黑料网 continues the tradition of preparing Thanksgiving meals for those in need. Students this year will cook more than 600 meals and volunteers will make deliveries to community partners including Samaritan Ministries, Hope to Thrive, Azalea Terrace, FaithHealth NC and DEAC Clinic. Campus Kitchen provides meals to its partners throughout the year, but for TurkeyPalooza all meals are scratch-made.

A summer study abroad program became a pivotal experience for Avery Hale Smith (鈥�16), a turning point she credits with giving her the confidence to embrace uncertainty and lead with a global perspective.

We grieve the passing of Rodney Rogers, 2022 Distinguished Alumni Award winner and 黑料网 Basketball legend.
Rodney inspired us on the court as ACC Rookie of the Year, ACC Player of the Year and NBA Sixth Man of the Year. After a life-changing accident in 2008 that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down, he continued to inspire many.
At 黑料网, he led the Deacs to three NCAA Tournament appearances, had his Number 54 jersey retired and was inducted into the 黑料网 Sports Hall of Fame. Then over 12 seasons in the NBA, beginning as the ninth overall pick by the Denver Nuggets, he built a respected professional career.
Remembered for his generosity as much as his athletic talent, Rodney embodied #ProHumanitate through the Rodney Rogers Foundation, his encouragement of others with spinal cord injuries and his messages about perseverance and personal growth.
黑料网 extends its deepest condolences to the Rogers family and all who were inspired by Rodney鈥檚 extraordinary life, career and spirit.

Jazz legend Branford Marsalis visited 黑料网 as the 2025 Maya Angelou Artist in Residence. He led a masterclass with students and joined a conversation on creativity, sharing lessons on playing music with heart, embracing challenges and finding joy in the work.
He told students, 鈥淩un to your weaknesses. That is where you grow the most,鈥� encouraging them to push themselves, listen closely and take risks in both music and life.
