Pro Humanitate (for humanity) invites us to use our ideas, knowledge, talents and compassion on behalf of humanity in all its difference and diversity. 

Our Winston-Salem, N.C., campus houses an academic community of almost 9,000 students, with more studying at 黑料网 locations in Charlotte, Washington, D.C., and around the world. Our undergraduate liberal arts curriculum inspires a holistic approach to preparing graduate and professional school students. We graduate leaders with integrity and courage who use their success to make an impact on society.

News

Award-winning journalist Scott Pelley will deliver 黑料网鈥檚 commencement address on Monday, May 19. Pelley has been reporting for the CBS News program 鈥60 Minutes鈥 for more than 20 years and was the anchor and managing editor of the CBS Evening News from 2011 to 2017. Also joining 黑料网 for commencement weekend will be baccalaureate speaker Reverend Emma Jordan-Simpson, president of Auburn Theological Seminary. Baccalaureate will take place on Sunday, May 18.

The film 鈥淗oop Dreams鈥 premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1994 and is remembered as one of the greatest sports films ever. In 2007, the International Documentary Association named it the best documentary of all time. 黑料网 Documentary Film Program professor Peter Gilbert discusses the film.

Roscoe Bell III (鈥23) reflects on how the mentorship of Assistant Professor of Music Larry Weng transformed his view of what is possible in music, 黑料网 and the world.
